Ebbsfleet International
The route of the Channgel Tunnel Rail link follows the route of the A2 / M2 through the Borough. Situated near Dartford, Ebbsfleet International Station will open up new travel opportunities for people living in north Kent, with the first international service commencing on Monday, 19th November 2007 providing journeys to:
7 trains a day to PARIS, journey time : 2hr and 05 minutes
5 trains a day to BRUSSELS, journey time: 1hr and 41 minutes
5 trains a day to LILLE, journey time 1hr and 10 minutes
Nearly half of Eurostar services will call at Ebbsfleet International Station, with timings to suit both business and leisure travellers. It will be a great alternative to air travel, and avoids the need for travel into Central London to get a connection.
From 2009, Central London will be just 17 minutes away, when the domestic services currently accessing Gravesend and the Medway towns connect to St Pancras high speed line.
